The Ranger Program
The Royal Ranger Program
Royal Rangers is now recognized as the fastest growing boys ministry in the world. It is in all 50 states and over 54 countries around the world. Royal Rangers was started in 1962 in Springfield, Missouri (National Assemblies of God Headquarters), by the late Johnny Barnes with the goal of having a boys camping program, using "Christian Leadership from the Local Church" where a boy through his late teens can be instructed, challenged, and inspired through weekly meetings, day activities and camping outings in the areas of Bible, Christian Service, Moral Conduct, Church, Outdoor Skills, Campouts, and challenged to always do his "best".
Ranger Kids This impressionable age group is foundational in providing the background and training for additional participation in the Royal Rangers
program. Its challenging and fun advancement system encourages boys to learn
utilizing indoor and outdoor activities and games. The weekly lessons and
objectives help to reinforce godly principles in their daily lives. In this
age group the boys have an opportunity to achieve many advancement pins that
can be placed on an awards vest and worn each week as part of the official
Royal Rangers uniform.
